Insertion: Med. and inf. surfaces of med. cuneiform and base of 1st metatarsal.


Action: Dorsiflexion and inversion.


Innervation: Deep fibular (peroneal) n. (L4, L5).

Definition

Origin: Middle part of ant. surface of fibula and IM.


Insertion: Dorsal aspect of base of distal phalanx of great toe (hallux).


Action: Extension of great toe and dorsiflexion.


Innervation: Deep fibular (peroneal) n. (L4, L5).

Definition

Origin: Lat. condyle of tibia and sup. 3/4 of med. surface of fibula and IM.


Insertion: Middle and distal phalanges of lat. 4 digits.


Action: Extension of lat. 4 digits and dorsiflexion.


Innervation: Deep fibular n. (L4, L5).


Blood: Anterior tibial a.

Definition

Origin: Inf. 1/3 of ant. surface of fibula and IM.


Insertion: Dorsum of base of 5th metatarsal.


Action: Dorsiflexion and aids in eversion.


Innervation: Deep fibular n. (L4, L5).
