One is Socrates, he is known for promoting self-knowledge and questioning the norm.

Who is another one of the 3 Greek Philosophers & what is he known for?

2nd is Plato, Socrates' apprentice, in his book "The Republic"  he described the ideal society split up into 3 parts. At the top sit the Philosopher-Kings who rule because they are the most wise and know what is best for the country. Warriors occupy the middle class and possess the strength needed to protect the country. And everyone else makes up the bottom of society.

Plato's apprentice was Aristotle, he wrote a book called "Politics", in it he claims that only 3 good forms of government exist: monarchy, aristocracy, and constitutional democracy. He also believed that not all people were born equal and used this to justify slavery/inequality.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau: Believed in rule by the people, and children should be allowed to express emotions/opinions freely at school in order to develop adults with good character.
