Purpose

Knowledge to a substantial certainty

1.Defendant acted with intent to batter

2. Defendant caused a harmful or offensive touching to plaintiff's person

1. Defendent acted with intent to cause a reasonable apprehension of an imminent battery

2. That act caused plaintiff to suffer a reasonable apprehension of an imminent battery

3. Imminent means imminent; must be in range and must be occurring now, not in the future

1) defendant acted with an intent to confine or restrain someone in a bounded area;

 (2) that act caused plaintiff to be knowingly confined or restrained in a bounded area without legal authority.

1) extreme and outrageous conduct by the defendant;

(2) with intent to cause plaintiff to suffer severe emotional distress;

(3) causing plaintiff severe emotional distress
