  • hittites lived in Anatolia

  • Hattusa is capital city

    • son of Mursili II

    • ruled from 1267 BC 1237 BC

  • also have Mursili II

    • adopted by Hattusili III’s grandfather

    • ruled from 1650 BC 1590 BC

  • many more rulers but very long list of them

  • also aren’t enough pictures or specific ruling times

  • one of main reasons why hittite kingdom lacked a bit

    • kingdom only as strong as leader

  • king not strong?

  • people undoubtedly perish until arrival of a new king

  • almost forgot to mention hittites had democratic govmnt

  • but ruling period for each king or queen remains unknown

    • overtime many tribes, especially sea people repeatedly attacked

    • until they gave in to defeat

    • you could also say that empire went down in flames
