-didn’t want to do it

-spandrals- arhitechural molding that make the transition from the wall to the ceiling.

-symbls- greek prophets that see into the future.

-combines the again and the Christian

-artists are still trying to synthesize the best pagan ideas and merge with Christian thought.

-almost weighed down by being lifeless whating for gods touch.

-the focal point is the empty space.

-ampliphies moment with negative space.

        -vanishing point is on jesus’ head.

-shows a very dramatic moment after he announces one of the people at the table will betray him

-that’s why jesus is calm and everyone is in a scurry kind of asking amongst themselves “who could betray Christ.

        -Leonardo researched for this paintings like a scholar.

-italian artists during the renaissance wanted to be seen as intellectual and they wanted to have an underlying intellectual process behind their work

-christ pops out because hes wearing complimentary colors orange and blue that help him pop!

-the idea of 3 is all over the pictures( ie windows, groups of apostles)
