Definition
A reflex is a relatively simple, involuntary response to a stimulus. Starle resonse is a defensive, involuntary response to a stimulus; an orienting resonse is involuntarily positioning to facilitate attending to a stimulus; and a flexion response is involuntarily jerking one's hand or foot away from a hot or sharp object.
