·         Who all here has heard of the infamous professional wrestler, Steven Austin, otherwise known as Stone Cold Steve Austin?

Early Life

Born on December 18, 1964 in Edina, Texas

    •           Original name Steve James Anderson-took the last name of step father

    •           Graduating high school he was inducted into National Honor Society, and won a football scholarship to the University of North Texas

Wrestling Career

       •           1989, he developed a passion for wrestling and joined a new wrestling school in Dallas

       •           After graduation he joined the United States Wrestling Federation in late 1995     

                 •           He made 20 dollars a fight and lived out of his car.

      •           In 1991, he dropped the good guy persona, taking the name Stunnin’ Steve Austin, and made his WCW or World Championship Wrestling debut

Wrestling Career

    •           During his WCW career, he made a partnership with "Flyin" Brian Pillman as the "Hollywood Blonds, who went on and won the 1993 World Tag Team Championship 

•          In 1994, he tore his tricep while wrestling in Japan and was ultimately fired by WCW

  •           he underwent another revamp of his image resulting in a new name and the name he's most commonly known for, "Stone Cold," with a bald haircut and a new finishing move, the Stone Cold Stunner

Wrestling Career

     •           In 1997 Austin suffered a serious nerve injury and came back that same year and won the WWF championship

    •           also known as the Texas Rattlesnake and the Bionic Redneck, his fame made him considered as one of WWF's most popular wrestlers.

     •           In 1998 his salary was estimated to 1.2 million plus a huge sum in merchandising royalties

Acting Career

 •   after being so successful in the ring he decided to pursue his interest in acting where he appeared on several episodes of the TV series Nash Bridges as Jack Cage, a renegade policeman assisting the police force’s good guys.  

 •  his acting career took off, starring in The Expendables, the Stranger, Damage, The Condemned, The Longest Yard, Whoop Ass, Grownups 2, Tactical Force, knock out, and many more movies

•He was nominated in 2005 in Teen Choice Award, for his part in The Longest Yard

  •  From 1995 to 1999, Austin won four federation championships and numerous other tag team titles.

  •  In 1997 Austin suffered a serious nerve injury and came back that same year and won the WWF championship 

  •   Dwayne Johnson otherwise known as the rock and Chris Benoit, wrestling superstar and murderer were both rivals of Stone Cold
