Definition
  • Observe skin and mucous membranes for color
  • How many words can they say between breaths?
  • Ask about:
    • Cough
    • Hoarseness
    • Smoking hx
    • Exposure to inhalation irritants
    • SOB
    • Activity tolerance
    • Frothy or bloody sputum
    • Pain in the arms or chest
    • Difficulty swallowing
