This quote belongs to the Feminist view that Mary Wallstonecraft created. It states basically that we should not let our gender dictate how our futures should be.  Just because the world was a patriarchy for so long does not mean we need to conform to this belief. Women are equal to men.

can be compared to common sense Verses reality. Our common sense view can be skewed to what the reality is. An example of this would be love. Our common sense view of love is that it is a romance between to people who scare about each other, when in reality it is actually an agreement between two people. If the person you are with is not living up to their end of the agreement then generally you would leave them. Debunking is discovering the true meaning of something, the reality of it.

Is the idea Charles Cooley introduced that explains how when we interact with others we judge how we see ourselves through how they see us.  How we feel about ourselves is based on how we think others evaluate us.
