| Lord Asano was meeting with a representative of the emperor. Lord Kira was teaching him how to behave. Asano did not pay him enough so Kira insulted him in front of the other nobles. Asano got angry and cut off his arm. He had to take his own life for what he did. The 47 samurai that were his, now became ronin. They wanted to avenge his death and killed Kira in the night. The all had to kill themselves. They are buried beside each other and are considered heroes. |
