Definition

 

was created by kings who were trying to gain more power in their kingdom.

This divine right could only be given by God himself. 

While a king had this right, he could not be held accountable to his subjects.

theses in 1517.  They are complaints against the

Roman Catholic Church. 

He and his supporters (became known as Protestants) felt that the church had too much

power and wealth.  

This act was the beginning of new reformation of religion in Europe.

Definition
The Reformation of the Catholic Church started in 1517 when Martin Luther nailed 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenburg All Saints church. The reason of the reformation is simply because the church had gained too much power and wealth.

Definition
The kings gained supreme authority, when the Divine Right of Kings was created, and when all of the nobles were out of their Administration. When these things happened; The kings took religious authority and The kings took supreme authority.

Definition
Serfs were tied to the land, if the land was given to someone else, the serfs stayed with the land, they were normal citezens exept with almost no rights. And they formed the lowest social class of the feudal society. Later after the reformation, they became tenant farmers.

After the feudal times when the church no longer ruled the king, and the king had supreme authority, he got rid of his nobles, for he no longer needed them to supply his armies, instead, he taxed the Middle Class to pay for mercenaries, who were really good at fighting. (i.e professional)

The protestants were people whom opposed the church, they thought the church had too much wealth and power. The first protestant who had the readiness to oppose the church, was, you guessed it, Martin Luther, he nailed his ninety five theses to the door of an All Saints church(i.e read the one about Martin Luther).

This refers to the ENOURMOUS amount of wealth and decoration of all the churches. Martin Luther was the first to voice his complaints about this in his Ninety Five Theses that started the Reformation. The Protestants opposed the churches enourmous wealth and decoration greatly.

A Roman Catholic, is a member of the catholic church, and is a follower of the Bible and its many teachings. Some of the reformers were still followers of the Bible and its teachings, but did not believe in what it had become, with its wealth and power.

Maize and Potatoes were brought to Europe, around when the exploring, and Agriculture was being used for the first times. Maize is a form of Corn, and Potatoes are a form of Nightshade. They did not exist in Europe until explorers left and brought back foreign goods.

The process of strip farming requires to have land cut into small strips, with one farmer to tend to one of the many.

Strip farming in the Middle Ages was not very productive, because the land was cut too small, so each strip farm wasnt big enough to produce big enough amounts of crops.

After the reformation, explorers started looking out at sea for interesting things, they found the americas. The americas are North America and South America. Back during and after the reformation, people were just starting to explore to the New World, which became known as the Americas.

Definition
The reformation of the church had begun the moment Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the wittenberg All Saints Church, and with the Reformation, and the Church in turmoil, the kings went to grab religious power within their kingdoms. Before the reformation the kings were no more powerful then their feudal nobles. But after the reformation, the kings had supreme power, and appointed people from the middle class instead of the former nobles. They also began to pay for professional armies, the kings had also gained god given virtues, such as law-making, and lead to the theory of the Divine Kights of Kings.

Definition
The trade had improved with the exploring, because the explorers had found other places to trade with. The prosperous new era, great advances in agriculture, trade and settlement, with all these advances, many things that would not be available to the Middle Class, such as Books, once only for rich people after the printing press, for everyone who could afford the book. With the advances in agriculture, less farmers could now feed more people, making food cheaper than it was.
