Ulnar Drift: hand drift toward ulnar ( it really does!)

Rhematoid arthritis: has bone destruction, non-reducible.

Faber-Patrick Maneuver

patient supines, places heel on knee, physician applies pressure. If patient has hip problem--> groin pain, restricted motion.

Ballottement of the Patella- to detect large amounts of fluid in the joint.

put hand bellow and above patella, pressing down on patella--> fluid buldge---> possible rheumatological disease.

McMurray Maneuver-internal derangement of lateral or medial meniscus

-knee bent and rotated, if the patient gets a loud click and pain--> internal structure medial/later meniscus problems.

Schober Test: measure the increased distance between the two marks when the patient flexes the spine to its maximum. This test shows limited motion.

Make a mark on 5th lumbar and 1st iliac joint (10cm apart). Patient bends leading to an additional 5cm separation= normal motion.

Biopsy of vascularitis
