Greenpeace calls “Genetically Engineered Crops in Agriculture: A worldwide experiment on people, animals and nature

You might still be thinking what are genetically modified crops/foods/organisms etc.?

Tell them that the Clip is not real but fictional

The process of GM crops happens when a scientist alters the DNA of an organism.  The easiest example of this is a tomato. When it gets very cold a tomato becomes frozen; this ruins the tomato. So how can we solve this? Well up by the North Pole there live many fish. Now you are thinking: What does this have to do with fish? These fish are special since they live in the North Pole, which as you know is very cold. They can withstand very cold temperatures. DNA are the building blocks of life, so if we can manipulate DNA and take that specific part of the DNA that makes it withstand harsh climate and then manipulate it further by introducing it

In the end a smart audience like you who know about the environment, health and quality will see why I am against GM crops and that GM crops are not risk free. Furthermore the producers of 90% of GM seeds worldwide are thinking more about profit than the farmers, they sell to, which makes them unscrupulous (corrupt)

How many here are from USA, Argentina, Brazil or Canada? First of all, these countries are all in the American continent. What’s more is that 88.6% of GM crops cultivation occurs in these countries  according to Greenpeace

Ask if anyone wants to guess who they think cultivates the most of these countries and how much]

USA cultivates 53% furthermore Argentina: 18%, Brazil 11.5% and Canada 6.1% and this was in 2009

Greanpeace said

"It seems researchers have forgotten that  genetically engineered crops once outside cannot  be controlled like  they could in the lab. GE crops can self-replicate and pass on their new characteristics to neighboring crops penetrating the fields of farmers who want to cultivate their crops without genetic engineering."

Bugs, insects and worms are not normally animals the most common people like

Some good (Agriculture) Some Bad (Agriculture)

. [Ask if they know what pesticides are and herbicides] well according to Google dictionary:  it is “A substance used for destroying insects or other organisms harmful to cultivated plants or to animals.”

More background information:

Companies selling these products are utilizing propaganda to trick farmers into thinking GM crops are better. The truth is according to Greenpeace “Farmers have to buy more expensive patent genetically modified seeds every year and this causes them to become dependent on corporate giants”

This patent is a document that gives all rights of the invention, which is the GM seeds, to the original producers the “corporate giants”

These same companies produce the herbicides and pesticides. The GE product is one of two things: either it is resistant to herbicides but the herbicide it is resistant to is the one the same company produces. This means that you have to buy both product from one company and it has to be that exact product because the DNA has been altered exactly to fit that product. The other one is insecticide which the GE product can emit to kill the insects, including the bad and the good ones. This also means that any other “beneficial field growth and some living creatures are killed as well” (http://www.greenpeace.org) and poisonous

gasses are emitted in the air.

“Nature adapts” means that the insects will get used to the new conditions and the one that survive will reproduce and pass on a gene to protect themselves against the new threat. After this they will have to use stronger pesticides which can be very dangerous and lead to things like poisoning water underground which could affect other farms and our drinking water.

Techniques to prevent:

prevent the use of hasher pesticides

slow down the process in which the insects adapt.

mixing normal crops with GM crops thereby making some insects not adapt to the new conditions and them reproducing with the one that have will result in more of the old ones.

Above all else the worst possible statement and most foolish thing about GMO is that it is said to “PREVENT WORLD HUNGER.” This is not true! Greenpeace's international director, Kumi Naidoo, said “ The argument that that GM food is need to feed the world, is based on the wall assumption that hunger is a result of not enough food to go around. In fact we have sufficient food we need to provide everyone with a nutritious diet”

. 2 of their harshest rules are: If you don’t grow Genetically modified crops but let’s say the farm next to you does and the wind causes your two farms to crossover you will get GMO on your farm and Monsanto would sue you. You cannot control GMO outside! Their second bad rule is that that when you want to use herbicides etc. you have to use theirs because your plant is only resistant to theirs and also they alter DNA of crops so that the seeds die after the use so you have to purchase new seeds from them and then you signed a patent with them so they own all your seeds etc.

Hidden Goal:
make all crops one of their patent crops thereby forcing farmers to use Monsanto’s seeds. If everyone has to buy their seeds every year from Monsanto which hides its illegal business behind the UN and the USA which support Monsanto this gives Monsanto full control over the worlds food supply!

Without seeds millions of people will starve.

In conclusion the risks are too high and the stakes are beyond imagination!

First I thought let’s not support GM crops, and they will have to improve it! But now I have too much knowledge! Monsanto is too evil.

“What can we do?” Luckily we live in Denmark, and we as a community have the power to buy organic vegetables and fruits etc. that come from Danish farms from any local supermarket [Show some of the organic products bought from a local supermarket]
