Term
Treat every customer like Royalty
Definition
Every interaction is an opportunity to make a lasting impression. Remember the lifetime value of a guest ($4,100), and treat each guest as though they are very important to you!
Term
Greet your customers immediately
Definition
Make a good impression and set the tone for the experience by greeting your guests promptly (within 1-2 minutes).
Term
Do not 'hang out' at the front desk, in the kitchen or in the server station.
Definition
Servers, bussers, hostesses, and bartenders should stay in the dining room. Walk through the dining room often, do sidework, keep moving.
Term
Answer the phone by the 2nd ring
Definition
It is primarily the hostess' job to answer the phone. However, when the phone is not answered promptly, make sure to answer it by the 2nd ring. A lost call is a lost opportunity and a hassle for our customer.
Term
Run hot food. Especially to the bar!
Definition
When your name is called by the Expo to run your food, answer immediately. Be prompt. Run other server's food. Run food to the bar when needed.
Term
No personal conversations within hearing of customers.
Definition
Speak quietly with other staff members, not loud enough for the dining/bar customers to hear. Keep personal conversations limited during service times.
Term
Know the menu!!!
Definition
Upon beginning your shift, check for 86's, ask about specials. Be knowledgeable about the product you are selling. Have a recommendation in each category.
Term
Keep the end of the bar and the front desk tidy.
Definition
Don't allow dirty dishes, menu's, and other things to clutter up these spaces. Think about what our customers see.
Term
Do your side work properly and thoroughly
Definition
Make a sincere effort to do the best job you can. Consider the shift coming after you and give 110%. Make others' jobs easier because you go the extra mile.
Term
OBSERVE RUSH HOUR
Definition
At the end of your shift, work to get off the clock as quickly as possible. Wait to eat until after you clock out, and save visiting with co-workers for after your shift.
