Form:Object having 3-dimensions Like a shape a form has height and width, but also had depth. Forms are either geometric or free-form.

Shape: A two dimensional area that is defined in some way. Shapes do NOT have depth and can be either geometric or free-form.

Horizon line: Line paraelle to the horizon. Horizontal lines lie flat and are parallel to the bottom edge of the paper or canvas.

Vanishing point: Point on the horizon where rexceding parallel lines seem to meet.

Eye level: Where the eyes view a scene.

Foreshortening: to shorten an objec t to make it look as if it extends backwards into space.

Point of View: Same as eye level. Where the eyes of the viewer see.

Definition

Texture: describes the touch or feel of an object.

Simulated Texture: Visual texture that imitates real texture by using a two-dimensional pattern to create the illusion of a 3-dimensional surface.

Invented Texture A kind of visual texture that does not represent a real texture but creates a sensaiton of one by repeating lines and shapes in a 2-D pattern
