IQ is helpful but past 120 IQ points each point gives the person no greater advantage. Chris Langan had an IQ of 195 and amazed everyone on game shows with his brilliance. He ended up not doing well in college because he didn't have the social skills to be successful in college.

in 1921, 1475 of the brightest kids in California (IQ between 140 and 200) were followed throughout their life. In the end some became leaders but on average most of them were average or above average of success, income, and fame. The control group preformed almost as well except Termans group had 2 Nobel Prize winners

Because we (as humans) feel the need to respect the more experienced person and not be rude by undermining their authority even if we know they are wrong

Definition
Diverse ties are beneficial. It improves the chance of getting a spouse, staying in good health, making more money, and being happier in general. All together it increases your chance of success.
