--Make sure to tell pt everything u are going to do

--Stand pt at wall bucky facing IR

--Have pt place hands on hips,roll shoulders forward and place chin in holder

--Bring tube to 72" SID and aligned transverse with wall bucky and rotate tube head horizontally

--Place cassette in holder and line up transverse center line with center of cassette

--Adjust gridline with midline of body

--Check for OID and superimposition

--Lead markers?

--Check for pt midline alignment and body is straight on the table

--Check for OID and superimposition

(left or right position is determined by the side closest to the IR)
