calling card of the narcissistic personality is a strong need to be admired, a strong sense of self importance, and a lack of insight into other peoples feelings. they see themselves in a favorable light, inflating their accomplishments and undervaluing the work of others. they expect adulation and exhibit feelings of entitlement though they have done nothing in particular to earn that special treatment
