Point |
an exact location in space; a dot; every thing is made up of points. |
Line |
goes on and on infinately; has arrows on both ends; made up of points; named by two points on the line itself. |
Line Segment |
A part of a line shown with a point on each end; can be measured; named by the letters of the end points. |
Ray |
Has a point on one end and and arrow on the other; can not be measured as it goes on infinitely. |
Intersecting Lines |
Two or more lines that touch or cross at one point. |
Perpendicular Lines |
A special type of intersecting line that forms right angles where it intersects. |

Two or more lines that NEVER intersect or touch; railroad tracks... |
Vertex |
A point where to rays or linesegments meet; corners of shapes |
Acute Angle |
Less than 90 degrees; baby packman |
Right Angle |
Exactly 90 degrees; Mrs. Pacman |
Obtuse Angle |
Greater than 90 but less than 180; Mr. Pacman |
Straight Angle |
180 degrees exactly; Mr. Pacman unhinged |
