1. Pencil - Allows one to draw in the waveform when at sample level and it's used for automation.
2. Trimmer - Expands or shortens region ends.
3. Scrubber - It can play audio up to normal speed depending on how quickly the mouse is dragged over a region.
4. Selector - Allows for highlight of any track or region.
5. Smart Tool - A combination of the grabber, selector, and trimmer tool which can also add fade files to ends of regions.
6. Grabber - Allows one to select one or more regions and move them.
7. Zoomer - Expands time line and makes waveforms wider or narrower.

List Pro Tools edit modes and describe them.

1. Shuffle - When a region selection is deleted, that region will move adjacent to the left most region next to it or to the session start if there is no region left of the edited region. All regions to the right of the edited region are shifted along with it.

2. Slip - Allows one to freely edit region(s) without affecting other regions around it.

3. Absolute Grid - Allows one to edit region(s) while snapping to a predetermined grid line without affecting other regions around it.

4. Relative Grid - Allows one edit regions according to it's relative placement.

5. Spot - Allows one to move regions to a specific desired point via typing in the destination point.
