Definition

A result of a petition to the Supreme court after Marbury's commision did not subsequently delivered. After Forcing James Madison to deliver Document ,The Petition was then denied because it was held to be unconstitutional.

Significance: supreme court established that they had the right to exercise  judicial review

significance: This quote is significant because it is one of the reasons why the ACD failed. They were just a friendship and not centralized enough. Because of this, they could not legislate, amend, collect taxs and no nation army.

The Two opposing views that came into place when trying to revise the AOC. VA plan- introduced by madison electing state reps based of state population. The NJ plan- offering equal representation no matter how populated your state was.

Significance: Great Compromise, Offering a combination of the two.Which ultimately brought out 3/5th compromise

Significance: they could actually function now, before they didn’t have power to tax. Before this they had to just asked other states for money.

The Stamp act congress was simply the americans upset about the taxation of their legal documents because they believe that with their power to tax was the same as taking away their personal property. The brittish saw and understood their point and back off.

 

Significance: British repealed it. It showed that they had a little bit of power. No taxation without representation
