Prevention and treatment of reversible bronchospasm associated with asthma and other obstructive pulmonary diseases. Not for cardiac tachyarrhythmias.

Definition
Relaxes bronchial smooth muscle, causes cardiac stimulation, relieves allergic signs and symptoms, helps stop local bleeding, and decreases pain sensation. Not for those with Angle closure, glaucoma, shock (other than anaphylactic), organ/brain damage, cardiac dilation, arrhythmias, coronary insufficiency, or cerebral arteriosclerosis, and those in labor.

Improves breathing ability, relaxes respiratory smooth muscle. Not if active peptic ulcer or seizure disorder, and if hypersensitive to xanthine compounds, those with tonic clonic seizures. Can cause brain damage. Do not have with caffeine. Take with full glass of water. Palpitaions, irritability.

Agitated states. Patients with a history of drug abuse. During or within 14 days following the administration of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MA), hypertensive crises may result.

Not used with systemic fungal infections. Can cause diabetes and osteoporosis with excessive use. Suppresses the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.
