• used for O2 equal to or more than 5 L

Partial Rebreathing Mask

• 1/2 O2 and 1/2 room air mixture
• bag inflates when client exhales

Non-rebreathing Mask

• used for severe hypoxia
• higher level of O2 delivered
• CO2 leaves through paper flap during exhalation but closes upon inhalation and does not allow room air in 
• bag should never be flat
• often used in ER

Venturi Mask (Air Entertainment Mask)
