Nominative Case

Dative Case

*To give, to present, to show, to tell or to explain something to somebody or something

Accusitive Case

* Answers the questions Коно? і Що? (Whom? and What?).

* The noun is the direct object of the verb

Instrumental Case

* Answers the questions Ким? і Чим? (Who? and What?)

* This case us used to express that someone or something is used by or works with someone or something.

Locative Case

* Answers the questions На Кому? або На Чому? (On Whom? or On What?)

* Used only with a preposition.

* This case indicates the location (not the destination).

Vocative Case

* This case does not answer any questions.

* Used only in the direct speech when somebody is addressing somebody else.
