Nursing interventions: Teach the pt that during the test they may be moved into different positions but after the test they have to elevate the head 30-45 degrees and remain in bed for 3 hrs and drink lots of fluid to replace the fluid removed. The fluid intake also decreases the chance of getting a spinal headache. VS need to be monitored and watch for signs such as headache, stiff neck, fever, and photophobia.
