Definition
An area over where water flows to a single collection point- like a river, lake, stream, or pond. In our watershed, many of Virginia's creeks, streams, and rivers flow into the Chesapeake Bay.

A wild animal lives naturally in its habitat, but we deliberately raise domestic animals for food, the products they produce, and pleasure.

Things we use provided by the natural environment. Examples in Virginia include rocks, beaches, wildlife, sand, coal, forests, lakes, bays, etc.

What's the difference between a renewable resource and a nonrenewable resource?
Definition
A renewable resource can be replaced. You can plant new trees. A nonrenewable resource cannot be replaced. Once you use it all up, it's gone- like coal!
