  • To quickly rule out any regions outside the area of complaint
  • SHould Take no more than 10 minutes
  • positive results include: Malalignment, asymmetrical or limited ROM, pain, symptom production/reproduction ( comparable sign)

  • What are the levels of the Transtheoretical Model of Change
Definition
  1. Pre-contemplation: no thought of change, denial of problem(unaware), failure of change
  2. Contemplation: aware of problem, thinking about change (not yet ready to move)
  3. Preperation: making plans to change (time to get a time frame in here), small attempts to/toward changes
  4. Action: < 6 month complience, commitment to change, visible efforts to carry out change
  5. Maintenance: > 6 month complience, change is a part of daily life, relapse prevention (working to sustain changes)
  6. Relapse: will be included sometimes, is common at any point in the progression, return pt often to contemplation stage

By getting the patient involved in their care they will take more ownship of it. Also as a pratitioner helps you to understand where the pt is at

  • Ulnohumeral: Trochlear joint, uniaxial hindge joint
  • Radiohumeral: Uniaxial hindge joint
  • Prox Radioulnar: Uniaxial piviot joint
  • yes it is a synovial joint which will always have: articular cartilage, synovial fluid, articular capsule( synovial membrane, fibrous capsule, ligaments), blood vessels and nerves(do not penetrate the inside of the joint but pass from the fiberous part to the vessels), synovium ( not innervated but capsual is).  Elements that are sometime associated with synovial joints are: intrarticular discs, peripherial labrum, fat pads( help to fill in the space inserting itself into space between synovium ans capsule space), synovial folds or plicae)
