E- Armenias economy was based largely on industry, until independence. Currently suffering due to the blockade along the borders and cannot get the supplies and raw materials it needs to be based on industry. 

S- Armenian is the official language (Indo-European) and Russian is the second official language. They call themselves “hay” and refer to Armenia as “Hayastan” or “Hayasdan”. The woman domain is the home and the mans is labor work. They do believe in equal pay for equal work. 

P- Republic of Armenia is a democratic constitutional state. Serzh Sargsyan is currently the president of Armenia. 


N- The terrain is mountainous and flat. It has many fast flowing rivers and lots of trees. It experiences hot summers and cold winters. Suffers from pollution; has established environmental protection activities.




E- Wine making is a major role of Georgias economy; tourism is also. It has is considered to have one of the most fastest growing economies in Eastern Europe.

S- Its culture was influenced by Classical Greece, Roman Empire, Iranian Empires, and the Russian Empire. Known for its rich folklore. On of the most popular sports in Georgia is football (soccer).

P- Representative democratic semi-presidential republic. Giorgi Margvelashvili is the current president and Irakli Garibashvili is the prime minister. The president is the head of state and the prime minister is head of government. 


N- Suffers from pollution. Air pollution and water pollution are the major ones. Industrial waste has decreased, but over 2.5 tons of dangerous chemicals have been buried at the bottom of Mt. Lagluji.




E- It has the 32nd freest economy in the world. It also has high unemployment rates. 

S- women sometimes receive equal pay. Unemployment rate for women is 65% (unofficial).Marriage and having children are major priorities. Once the parents have a child they take his/her name. The literacy rate is over 86%. 

P- constitutional hereditary monarchy with a parliamentary form of government. 


N- Has an expanding population, industrial pollution, and wildlife hunting and habitat loss. They have addressed these problems by environmental protection programs.




E- Its a developing economy. It is considered the strongest economy in its region.

S- Arabic is the official language. Most westernized and culturally liberal. Its societies culture is similar to Mediterranean Europe. 

P- Parliamentary democratic republic. Michel Suleiman is the current president. Its judicial system is based on the Napoleonic Code. Its national legislature is called the Assembly of Representatives. 


N- One of the major threats is the water supply. Its experiencing lack of storage capacity and climate change.




E- Its GDP per capita ranks one of the highest in the world. It is the richest country in the world. Oil is its major industry.

S- The official language is Arabic. English, Farsi, and Urdu are also widely spoken. 80% of the population lives in the capital, Doha. 

P- Its an absolute monarchy. About 90,000 people work in the government. The Emir of Qatar is the head of state. 


N- The citizens receive free electricity. Its average summer temperature is 106 degrees. Contains more than 15% of earths natural gas reserves.




E- Its economy grew significantly after the war. 60% of Tajikistanis live in poverty. 

S- Its culture can be separated into 2,  metropolitan and Kuhiston. The largest celebration is Navruz which means “New Day”. Its cuisine is developed from Persian cuisine

P- A presidential republic, so the president is both the head of government and head of state. Emomali Rahmon is the current president. 


N- Major environmental issues include agricultural chemicals, air and water pollution, and soil erosion. Soil erosion affects 70% of irrigated cropland. 




E- 2nd largest economy in the Arab world. Its GDP is $570 billion in 2014. 

S- Poetry is a major influence on the culture of the UAE. Emirati people are ethnically diverse. The population is estimated to be 4.4 million. The primary religion is Islam. 

P- President is Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and prime minister is Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It has an elective monarchy and Emirate Monarchy. 


N- Habitat for wildlife lost and pollution concerns are rising. Human activities are starting to affect the environment.




E- It is a major oil based economy. It has the largest agricultural basin in the region. Tourism is also an important part; the government has put development of tourism as top priority. 

S- This culture has influenced cultures of Iran, Turkey, and Russia. The most celebrated holiday is is Novruz Bayram.

P- Semi-Presidential republic government. President Iham Aiyev and prime minister Artur Rasizade. The new constitution was completed on November 12th, 1995. The Republic of Azerbaijan is ruled by the people.


N- Human activity affecting environment negatively also. Azerbaijan is home to 9 of earths climate zones. The eastern side is more moderate. 




E- Its major industries involve the oil and gas production.

S- The culture of Iran is one of the oldest in the Middle Eastern. It has one of the richest art heritages in the world. The predominant language is Persian.

P- Has an elected president and parliament. Iran is a theocracy.


N- Facing problems of air pollution, deforestation, and desertification.


E- Agriculture is a major part of Yemens economy. It genertaes more than 20% of the GDP.

S- The people speak dialects of Arabic and are for the most part Muslim.

P- It is a republic. It is also becoming a base for groups such as Al-Quaeda and Islamic State.

N- Facing water pollution, soil erosion, and desertification.
