Definition
Create awareness of the Marine Corps among prospects and their influencers in the community

2. How do you work a Media Card?
Definition
Update and make a new Media Card at end of fiscal year
Transfer appropriate information to the new Media Card
Enter action dates to make scheduled visits to the media on the front and back of the card
Return the Media Card to the RSS NCOIC to file under the appropriate date in the Working File
Each visit should have a specific purpose
Ask the Recruiting Station MPA any questions you may have about the Media Card

Definition
Coordinate visit with the RS MPA
Establish contact with proper personnel
Make the visit brief
Do not bring any material on initial visit
Establish the time and duration of PSA spots
Meet with editors or publishers

4. What are the rules for using Recruiter Support Material?
Definition
Distribution occurs semiannually:
First issue consists of one half of order
Second half (6 months later) automatically fed to RS
Consult recruiter support material guide
Know what each booklet says
Give materials to prospects, parents, educators and counselors as “leave behind” information
Pass support material out to poolees and friends of the Corps
Rotate the stock of materials to ensure that only current materials are used

5. How do you work a Take-One-Card?
Definition
Make a card at the start of each FY
List all the stands on the card
Enter the point of contact at each location
Indicate the standard stock at each location
Enter the action date for checking and stocking
Set new dates to service each stand after checking
Analyze the stands (if none or very few are being taken, move stand or lessen stock)
