How to create an Adobe pdf from word?
Definition
To create a PDF file from Word, choose File -> Print, then scroll down to Adobe PDF. A dialog box will open and you can save your Word file into a PDF. This also is the same process with PowerPoints.

how to extract one page from a pdf?
Definition
If you have a large PDF file and need to extract a page, go into Adobe Acrobat and select tools on the right sidebar. Click on extract and then enter which page or pages you want to be separated from the large document. It will save as a separate file and it will be labeled: "Page(s) from (original PDF file).pdf"

how to combine multiple pdfs?
Definition
o combine multiple files into one PDF, select Create from the main tool bar and then select Combine or Merge Files into a single PDF. It will then open up a box where you can then can press "Add files." Add files will allow to select multiple files, PDF or any other format (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), to combine into one PDF. You can move the files up, down or delete them using the dialog buttons at the bottom of Combine or Merge files. Once you have the files in order, select Combine PDFs and the resulting file will be called Binder1.pdf. You can save it to be a different name.

Definition
To add Bates numbering to a PDF, select tools -> pages ->bates numbering. The dialog box has a button you can use to add the bates numbering and you can cut/paste the bates numbering into any part of the footer or header of the PDF. You can also change the bates numbering font, margins and add an endorsement to a footer or header.

Definition
To change magnification of the document to be the entire page, go to file -> properties -> initial view -> magnification -> fit page.

Definition
To add redactions, go to tools -> protection -> redaction properties and then after you save your settings, mark redaction and select the text that you want to redact. For this project, use mark redaction instead of apply redaction.

How to create a pdf portfolio to turn other non pdfs into a pdf.
Definition
We also have to create a PDF portfolio. Any file can be added to the PDF, not just .pdf extention files. On the opening screen of Adobe Acrobat, click on Create PDF Portfolio, choose your files you want to add to the portfolio (in this case, the Word and Excel documents from Project 1 and the last page of your PDF file that contains your PowerPoint and Project 1 Word files) and select either Grid or Linear for the format.
