Definition
Also known as case law or precedent, is law developed by judges through decisions of courts and similar tribunals, as opposed to statutes adopted through the legislative process or regulations issued by the executive branch.

Definition
The federal constitution aka, the supreme law of the land. All other laws; state, local and court decisions, for example must be up to the standards set forth in the U.S Constitution.

All laws must pass this.

The constitution is standard. Everything below standard is deemed unconsitutional and therefore the law is unforseeable. If the law meets, or is above standard, it is deemed constitutional.
