Definition
Hydroactive they trap the fluid within the structure of the matrix and swell up. The adhesive matrix is secured by a film dressing which controls the evaporation of fluid from the dressing, allowing it to wick moisture away from the wound and prevent fluid build up and lessen infection.

G-Tube
Definition
Gastrostomy tube, G-tube, N/G or feeding tube is used for many reasons as a nutrient supply source for medical conditions that prevent one from eating. A small hollow tube is inserted through a small incision in the belly that leads to the stomach and is stitched in place. The procedure is done via an endoscopic process that uses a camera to view the stomach. The incision is normally a small incision located on the left side of the body. G-tubes maybe used for short or long term feeding of a patient.
