ovum (eggs) are stored in the ovaries, during the menstrual cycle of 28 days, day 14 ovulation occurs and is released into the oviduct. inorder for fertilization to occr, sperm needs to swim up the cervix and penetrate the ovum with its enzymes in its head, then after penetrated a barrier is made to block out any other sperm. then fertilized egg will move to the uterus and implant itself in the wall.
