amazing how this drawing survived. left in london in 1587 when buying supplies. white returned to america, became governor of roanoke colony and the colony was never heard from again after 1590

Angled, pitched roof. Verticality. Look to God.
Locally made brick & glass suggests wealth. Glass imported, not made in America until 1739.
