-patient lies prone and does a butterfly position on involved side
-examiner places one hand on bent knee and other on opposite hip to stabilize
-examine applies downward pressure on knee

-patient lies prone and examiner flexes knee of involved side, watching hips

positive: if hip on involved side slightly raises

-patient lies supine and examine places opposite hands on opposite ASIS's (forming an X with arms)
-push against the ASIS's, compressing SI joint

-examiner places on the hands on hip and applies downward pressure, distracting the SI joints

-patient stands facing away from examiner
-examine places thumbs on both PSIS's
-patient lifts one leg and examiner watches for movement of PSIS (thumb moves down)
(can be done in tandem with Stork test)

positive: PSIS does not move

-then flex knee until pain is alleviated
-palpate popliteal area to recreate same pain
