Promotes perspiration, helping the body eminate wastes throught the skin. Some produce observable sweating, while others produce normal background perspiration. They often promote dilation of surface cappilaries, thus helping to improve poor circulation. This action is especially relevent in the treatment of fevers.

Plants rich in aromatic volatile oils, or carminitives, promote appropriate digestive function, soothing the gut wall, reducing inflammation, easing griping pains, and heloing the body eliminate gas from the digestive tract.

Relaxing: Soothes the bronchial spasms and looosens mucous secretions, helping with dry irritating cough.
