How do you access Quick Add?
You can click on the drop-down arrow on the Create button on the left side of your calendar or type the letter Q.
How do you add a resource to an event?
    1. Create or view a calendar event and go to the event details page.
    2. Above the Where section, click the Find a time tab. This brings up a scheduling box.
    3. The Find a time box will appear. Select a resource you would like to add. First, click the Rooms, etc link on the right and then click the Add button. The room or resource is added to the Add: Guests section of the event invitation, in the same list as other invitees.
    4. The resource's calendar will now appear next to yours and any of the other event attendees.
    5. Click Save.

The resource is now scheduled as part of your calendar entry. No one else can schedule the resource unless you release it.

How do you allow someone else to make changes to events in a calendar?
    1. Navigate to the calendar list on the left.
    2. Click the down-arrow button to the right of the appropriate calendar.
    3. Select Share this Calendar.
    4. Type the person's full email address in the Share with specific people box.
    5. Select a Permission Setting.
      • Make changes AND manage sharing
      • Make changes to events
    6. Click Add.

Once you click Add, the person you selected to share the calendar with will receive an email invitation to view your calendar.

How do you copy a calendar entry form the event details page?
    1. Click the More Actions drop-down menu.
    2. Select the calendar you would like the event to be copied to from the Copy to my calendar list.
    3. This opens up a new Event details page for your event. Edit the information as you would any other calendar entry.
    4. Click Save.

Note: The copy of the event will be a copy at the moment that you create it. Any future changes to the original event will not be reflected in the copy.

How do you find a calendar's HTML address?
  1. In the calendar list on the left, click the down-arrow next to a calendar and select Calendar settings.
  2. In the Calendar Address section, click the HTML icon. You will see a pop-up window with your calendar's public URL.

How do you keep a calendar entry but remove a resource?
  1. Click on the event, then click the Edit event link.
  2. In the event details page, look at the list of guests invited.
  3. To remove the resource, find the resource name in the guest list and simply click the X.
  4. You can click the Restore link next to the resource name if you do not wish to remove them from the event.
  5. Click Save.

How do you copy an event to one of your calendars?

  1. Click on the event you would like to copy (if it is from a friend or colleague's calendar, you will need to have it turned on so you can see it in your calendar view).
  2. Click copy to my calendar.
  3. This will open up the Event details page with all the same information from the calendar entry.
  4. You can select which calendar this entry will be associated with by selecting the calendar name from the drop-down next to Calendar.
  5. You can also make any changes to the event as you would any other event you created.
  6. Click Save.
WHat are the parameters for the Quick Add recipe?
  • What: This can be any text; the event title is created from this
  • When: This can be nearly any date and/or time expression. Using at and on can help
  • Who: This should begin with the word with followed by a list of email addresses; these are added to the guest list
  • Where: This can be any text following at or in
WHat three parts are required for a repeating event you create using Quick Add?

The start, the repetition, and the end.

For example, using Quick Add, type in: "Literature 101 Monday at 10 am repeats weekly for 12 weeks". The start is "Monday at 10 am", the repetition rule is "repeats weekly", and the end is given by for "12 weeks".

What does "Quick Add" do?

Quick Add lets you type in a single sentence, interprets what you entered, then adds the appropriate calendar entry.

What is the Quick Add "recipe?"
What, who, where, and when. Only what and when are required.
When entering recurring events, using Quick Add, do not enter a _____ in the middle of a _______expression.
