Term

Use FOIL to expand this expression:

(√3 - 2)(√3 + 4)

Definition

F: √3 x √3 = √9

O: √3 x 4 = 4√3

I: √3 x -2 = -2√3

L: -2 x 4 = -8

FOIL:   = √9 + 4√3 + -2√3 - 8

          = 32√3 - 8

          = -5 + 2√3
