One of the ten major events that changed America. No one won, it was a loss for both sides.

 Tennessee: 1925: Teaching evolution in the school system.

One school teacher decided that he would teach evolution in his class room and he was arrested.

Scopes was found guilty and fined $100.

The nation's most famous criminal lawyer. He had often campaigned against Bryant. He feared that religious led people to be judgemental, he just wanted people to be open-minded. He took the case, of defending Scopes, without pay. This was the only time he would ever do so.
