Flame Rectification (Conductance)

A method of flame proving.

Flame converts AC voltage to DC voltage.

If DC current not detected, the appliance will shut down.

Voltage is passed by electrode in the flame.

1)Operate appliance. Spark should cease after flame has ignited.

2) Turn off the gas. Unit will attempt re-ignition (1 sec)

3When gas is turned back on, it must ignite gas smoothly.

4) Unit can go to lockout after attempts at igniting OR may continue sparking.

1.Sparking can continue after flame has established.

2.If used to light pilot first,it may not switch on main burner.

3.Can be slow in recognising flame failure.
