Why can't you push it like you would do

for a memory item?

Because you have to first remove as much air as possible by:

1) Turning off baggage heat (matching the condition, as the valve should already be closed)

2) Turning the pressure source knob to the right (shutting off bleed air by closing

the left mass flow valve)
