Definition
Body axes: A coordinate system fixed to the airplane. The origin is
at the center of gravity; the xb axis is in the airplane plane of symmetry
and points out the nose of the airplane; the zb axis is in the plane of
symmetry and points downward; and the yb axis is perpendicular to the
xb and zb axes and points out the right wing.

Definition
Static stability: If an airplane is disturbed from steady flight, static
stability is the tendency of the airplane to automatically generate forces
and moments which reduce the disturbance.

Definition
Turbojet: An axial flow engine which contains a diffuser, compressor,
combustion chamber, turbine, and nozzle. It produces thrust by increas-
ing the velocity and pressure of the flow through the engine.

Turbofan: A turbofan is a turbojet engine which has a fan after the
diffuser. The fan puts additional air around the turbojet.
