2. dark, sinister side of personality

3. Anima-- feminine side of men

4. Animus-- masculine side to women

2. Personal unconscious: everything you're not currently thinking of, but you can be (memories)

3. Collective unconscious: part of mind that is predetermined at birth; passed down thru generations; shared by all humans
