What is the difference between acute/ subacute/ chronic eczema/dermatitis?
Definition

Acute: extensive eruption with serous exudate; pruritic; erythematous papules or vescicles

 

Subacute:  erythematous, excoriated, scaly papules or plaques --> silvery appearance

 

Chronic -->thickened skin and skin markings (lichenification); secondary  to rubbing.
