Acute: extensive eruption with serous exudate; pruritic; erythematous papules or vescicles

Subacute:  erythematous, excoriated, scaly papules or plaques --> silvery appearance

Chronic -->thickened skin and skin markings (lichenification); secondary  to rubbing.

usually presents on face, arms, hands, legs

smal macules develop, --> pustules --> vesicles

honey crusted

scratching spreads infection faster

skin is red, edematous, may be tender

red streaks indicate lymphatic involvement

may result in lymphangiitis
