        | Lamictal Use: Partial and Generalized Seizures PK: Can be induced or inhibited, estrogen in OC/pregnancy can increase clearance. MOA: Enhance sodium channel inactivation. SE: Sedation, diplopia, ataxia, nausea, rash Clinical Pearls: When used with inhibitor (Valproic Acid) half life doubles to ~ 60 hours. When used with inducer (Carbamazepine) half-life is cut in half to ~ 15 hours.   Use outside of epilepsy : Bipolar - good mood stabalizer. | |
