Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity as a function of time. It is vector quantity with units ms-2.

 Definition

Buoyancy is the phenomenon that all objects immersed in a fluid experiences an upward force (or upthrust) due to differences in pressure at different depths in the fluid.

 

Archimedes' Principle states that a fluid will exert an upward force (upthrust) on an object immersed in it equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object.

The density of a material is the mass per unit volume.

The SI unit of density is kg/m2.

 Definition
Energy is the capacity of a physical system to perform work. Energy exists in several forms such as heat, kinetic or mechanical energy, light, potential, electrical, or other forms.
The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of a system remains constant, though energy may transform into another form.

The SI unit of energy is the joule (J) or newton-meter (N m). The joule is also the SI unit of work.
