 There are five factions:

• Amity-Farming
• Candor-truth
• Erudite-knowledge
• Dauntless-fearless

government

The government was created after wwIII.

The world war destoryed evrything almost every city.

Those that survived created their own governments.

They blamed human nature of being greedy and that, that is what caused the world war

The government created the factions to get rid of human nature.

They think human nature is weak and needs to be eradicated.

The creation of the factions was to separate the people into different groups and control how they act.

Those who are called divergent are a danger to their society because they can't be conformed to think like one faction.

Divergence is thinking many different ways at once.

They are hunted and killed to keep the peace throughout the factions and to make all the same.

When erudite began thinking about gaining control of the government.

They created a serum that controlled Dauntless soilders to help them eradicated the Abegnation of their control of the government.

The erudite want to kill all divergents and make everyone under their control.
