•  According to the Home Office Statistics  Black men are 3 times more  likely to be arrested than the whites 
• Some sococioogists argue that police officers are partly racist therfore the Official stats wil show this rather than the actual offending rates  by ethnic groups

•  These show that  black victims are attacked by black offenders and white victimes are attacked by white offenders

• But whitecrime  figure rate is 50% higher than the Blacks

•  They did a self reported study of  youth between the age of 14-19 yrs old

•  The result  of the crime committed by blacks and white   was more or less the same

•  Blacks are more likely to  pleade bnot guity comapred to whites

• But if theyare found gutiy there are more likely to  to given harsher sentences compared to the whites 
•  This shows indirect discrimination  aganist enthinic minority groups
