The person/object/thing that plays a role within the story. Having a character within your narrative is very important, and giving your character details and information makes the narrative more realistic.

The background and place where all the events of the plot take place. There can be many settings to a narrative, it is just important to specify which setting it is and give it identifying information.

The height of your tale - where a conflict occurs and drama ensues. There can be several climaxes within a narrative.
