Term
CRV-EFT

Describe the function of CRV.
Definition
Provides control room and 1st/2nd floor of EFT building with HVAC during normal and emergency operations.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe the function of EFT.
Definition
-Isolate outside air from the control room and 1st/2nd floor of EFT.
-Provide filtered/pressurizing air in event of high radiation detection.
Term
CRV-EFT

Discuss the design basis of CRV-EFT.
Definition
-Maintain the CRE environment for a 30 day continuous occupancy after a DBA w/out exceeding 5 REM TEDE.
-Single CREF subsystem operating at a flowrate of < or equal to 1100cfm will pressurize the CRE relative to external areas adjacent to the CRE.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe the normal flowpath.
Definition
-A single CRV fan takes suction from control room and 1st floor of RB.
-Also takes supply from a single EFT fan through its filter system that takes a suction from outside (if desired).
-CRV flows through an AC unit.
-An AC unit fan discharges to the main control room and the 1st floor RB.
-A battery room fan also takes suction from outside air and discharges to outside air.
-If taking suction from outside it is known as fresh air mode.
Term
CRV-EFT

Discuss what will cause CRV-EFT to operate in EFT emergency high rad mode.
Definition
-Auto initiates on any of the partial group II signals.
-High drywell pressure: 1.84psig.
-Rx low low water level: -47".
-RB exhaust plenum high rad or to lo trips: 26mrem/hr or .1mrem/hr.
-Refuel floor high rad or lo trip: 50mrem/hr or .1mrem/hr.
-Also on a none partial group II signal of CRV intake high rad: 1mrem/hr.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe control room rad monitor alarms.
Definition
-Hi rad alarm: 0.5 mrem/hr.
-Hi-Hi rad alarm: 1.0mrem/hr which also initiates EFT Hi rad mode.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe Hi Rad mode flowpath.
Definition
-Same as normal flow path with following exceptions.
-Isolates the CR kitchen path to roof.
-Isolates damper from 1st floor RB to battery room.
-Has EFT suction from outside supplied to CRV suction.
-Essentially secures the exhaust and pressurizes the control room.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe what happens to the plant admin building ventilation when CRV-EFT is in high rad or recirc.
Definition
Isolates most admin building ventilation.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe recirculation mode flowpath.
Definition
Same as high rad only there is no EFT portion.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe how to place system in RECIRC.
Definition
-Switch that will automatically place system in RECIRC when switch taken to RECIRC.
-This signal overrides signal for High Rad.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe seawater supply to AC units.
Definition
-Normal supply is SW.
-Alternate supply is ESW.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe the control room breathing air supply system (CRBASS).
Definition
-3 hour supply of air for 8 control room operators.
-12 compressed air cylinders @ 2640psig in 3rd floor H&V room.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe all fan power supplies and flow rates.
Definition
-CRV fans: MCC-134/144, 6940cfm.
-EFT fans: MCC-134/144, 1000cfm.
-Battery room fans: MCC-134/144, 800cfm.
-AC unit fans: MCC-134/144, 7440cfm.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe the CREF system logic.
Definition
-2 trip systems.
-Each isolates the CR boundary and initiates one CREF subsystem.
-Each trip system receives input from one CR air intake radiation-high signal.
-1 out of 1 logic.
Term
CRV-EFT

Describe fan trips and interlocks.
Definition
-CRV fan at <4000cfm for 30 seconds will trip and start standby train and units.
-EFT fan < 600cfm will start standby and trip running and shut the outlet damper.
-Battery fan at < 800cfm will start standby battery fan.
